Status: Full-time & Part-time positions available
Location: Based out of New London, Connecticut.
Primary Functions of the Position:
The Graphic Artist will be a part of the Professional Services
development team. The Professional Services team works closely with
our customers to design and develop effective and engaging online
training courses. The production environment for this position
is collaborative and team-oriented. The Graphic Artist will work
with project managers, instructional designers, and multimedia
specialists to meet required project deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in the production of course materials including integrating
appropriate graphics with supporting text (content) and involvement
in the QA process.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and find creative solutions
to instructional problems.
- Meet objectives and deliverables on time with an attention to
detail.
Required Qualifications:
- A keen sense of design standards and considerations to design/develop web
graphics in support of online courses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts, Instructional
Technology or related field
- 3-5 years experience in a multimedia production environment
- Experience developing graphics for web-based training or eLearning
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills
- Ability to work in a project management team environment
- Awareness of usability and accessibility considerations in design
- Experience in managing time, establishing priorities, distributing
responsibilities, and meeting tight timelines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Flash (including action scripting)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and producing multimedia objects and applications.
- Experience with streaming media and digital video production a plus.
- Expertise in digital imaging, Internet programming languages and
interface design a plus.
